Frequently Asked Questions about V12 Yoga

What is Yoga?

Yoga is ancient discipline made up of eight branches or limbs, three of which we actively practice at V12 Yoga in the studio: asana (postures), pranayama (yogic breathing) and meditation, although we are practicing with several different poses you will find each one offers you a challenge and strengthen your mind and body. Yoga literally means union, as in the union of the mind, the body and the spirit. The name V12 Yoga is derived from the concept of building energy and a higher power with oneself. The best place to learn what yoga is is on the mat.
